Tunji Adeniyi-Jones

Tunji Adeniyi-Jones (b. 1992, U.K.) is inspired by the ancient history and iconography of West Africa, as well as by his Yoruba heritage. His paintings address the perception of the black body within Western painting from a perspective of cultural hybridity. Adeniyi-Jones’ received his MFA from Yale and his BFA from Oxford University. He is currently based in NY and exhibits widely in North America and Europe at prominent galleries such as White Cube and Moran Moran.
